Saravanan Vadivelu

Saravanan Vadivelu, is the founder and director of Onium life Sciences. His core expertise are synthetic organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry and drug discovery. Prior to Onium life sciences, He has worked as a project leader in multiple drug discovery projects at Jubilant Biosys and managed multiple programs of various international clients and jubilant innovation. He also led teams which worked on synthesis of focused compound libraries and custom synthesis of organic compounds. He has a very good exposure to various target classes (epigenetics, kinases, ion channels and proteases) and diverse therapeutic areas (cancer, neurodegenerative disorders and pain). He has handled stepwise project transitions from target validation to the clinical candidate selection. A significant contribution during his stay at Jubilant Biosys is the out-licensing deal of a BRD4 clinical candidate to Fortress biotech. He was also a key member of the team that delivered a clinical candidate for a neurodegenerative disease in collaboration with a major pharma company.
